Interactive On-line Activities
FOSSweb.com contains on-line activities based on grade school curriculum
developed by the FOSS
Program at the Lawrence
Hall of Science. They make wonderful integrative experiences
for the FOSS modules or great stand-alone, science-based games for
the whole family.
The on-line activities relate to the FOSS Earth
Science, Life
Science, Physical
Science, and Scientific
Reasoning strands. Students are challenged to apply what they
have learned in innovative and fun ways. In the Paper and
Wood Module, for example, students must locate a variety
of household and neighborhood items made from wood. In the Insects
Module, students drag a magnifying glass over garden and
pond scenes to discover small creatures and correctly identify them
as insects or not. Each of the ten modules has one activity.
